Directing Advanced Level

Directing advanced courses are designed to provide students with a deeper understanding of the art of directing. These courses are typically aimed at students who have already completed introductory courses in directing.

3 Classes of 60 mins each.

Max 9 people. $250 Total

COURSE BREAKDOWN:

"The ideal choice would be to attend this course

with a complete script that the candidate wishes to direct."

CLASS 1:

1) Advanced Director Script Analysis: In this section, students learn how to analyze a script from a deep director's perspective. Why this story is important for YOU? What is your visual directing style you want for this story and why? Would you like to convey any particular messages to the audience? Do you like the arcs of the script?Which aspects of the plot do you want to emphasize or de-emphasize? Are there any "traps" (pitfalls) in the script you want to steer clear of?

CLASS 2:

2) Advanced Rehearsal Techniques: This section focuses on the various techniques that directors can use to work with actors during rehearsals. Students learn how to communicate their vision effectively and provide constructive feedback to actors. Students will also develope a personal method to rehearsal that best suit their skills. Students will rehears their scripts and analyze it.

CLASS 3:

3) Advanced Filming: Each student will film and direct Iin part or full) the most important scene of their script.
